#whatshouldwecallme

As you may be able to tell by the title of this design, I'm not entirely sure what it is. I have been pretty busy with work lately and haven't really been able to dedicate as much time these past few weeks to my nails as I would like. I haven't been particularly inspired by anything either as of late so this design was created purely by picking colors I liked. Muggins, the pale lilac color from butter LONDON is fast becoming a favorite, so I decided to use that for the basecoat and then picked complementary colors from there.

To start the design I applied two coats of Muggins overtop one coat of butter LONDON's nail foundation flawless basecoat. Next, using butter's Cheeky Chops, I painted the yellow design (leaves, petals, whatever they look like to you...as I said before I really don't know what it is). Then, using another butter fav of mine, Jaffa I painted the same pattern inside the yellow design. The pictures really don't do Jaffa justice, as it really is more of a coral than an orange. After one coat of SV topcoat the look was complete. Simple and fast, this one only took about 20 minutes to complete. Even though I'm not quite sure what it is, I rather like the combination of colors and the overall look. The only downside is that it kind of looks like fire and the coral sometimes looks more orange than it actually is--oops. Anyway, I promise not to stay away for so long next time! And please, don't hesitate to let me know if you have any idea what it is I painted :)
