I promise this is the end of the Hunger Games tributes. After seeing the movie at midnight, and getting a glimpse of Effie Trinket's fabulous nails, I thought I should give it a try. For the design I used Butter London's nail foundation followed by two coats of Queen Vic. The color of Effie's nails in the movie has less magenta hues in it, but I really wanted an excuse to use Queen Vic. So here's where things got a bit sketchy... I didn't have a sponge to do the gold tips, so used a Q-tip. Obviously not exactly the desired effect, but it looks okay I suppose. I first used Butter's The Full Monty for the metallic gold tips, then dusted it with a bit of West End Wonderland for some added sparkle. (I'm sure Effie would approve). Finished it all off with SV topcoat for some high gloss and vuala! Did you get to see the Hunger Games yet? What did you think?
