sunshine daisies, butter mellow

Nothing says summer quite like fields of great big yellow sunflowers. I wanted to capture the happiness these flowers emit on my nails, so I came up with this design. I started with a coat of butter LONDON's nail foundation flawless basecoat and two coats of Old Blighty. I thought the maroon color would contrast nicely with the yellow and make it "pop."

Next I painted the yellow petals of the sunflower using Cheeky Chops on all but the ring finger. I chose to paint half flowers on the tips of each nail rather than full flowers for a different look. As you can see by the picture on the right, the flowers look almost like sunshine at this point.
The next step was to highlight the edges of the petals using a darker yellow. I chose to use Bumster, a soft golden yellow, for the highlights. After this I painted the brown centers of the flowers using China Glaze's Mahogany. The last step was to paint small black dots for the seeds on the brown center using butter's Union Jack Black. A coat of SV topcoat finished the look off. What do you think about my sunflower nails?
