lillibet's jubilee

Ever since the second grade, I have always had a special connection with Queen Elizabeth II. Perhaps it was because at the young age of seven, I thought that we were the only two people in the world named Elizabeth. Though it didn't take long for me to realize that this sadly was not the case, I still found the British Monarchy to be fascinating--particularly during the reigns of both Queen Elizabeths. When I saw that butter LONDON had created a new lacquer in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee called Lillibet's Jubilee, I just had to get my hands on it. The color is a beautiful silver metallic with a slight lavender undertone. The foil lacquer is infused with a holographic glitter creating a diamond look fit for a Queen. The application of the polish was very clean and smooth overtop butter LONDON's Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat. I only had to use one coat of polish for rather full coverage, which makes the polish a great buy.  Honestly the photo to the left doesn't really do the varnish justice as the color really varies in the light. The lavender undertones and the occasional green highlight really add dimension to the color--and the sparkle is of royal caliber. I definitely recommend this polish for a fun and fresh look for spring/summer 2012. Check out www.butterlondon.com for this and more fabulous lacquers! God save the Queen!!
