By now I would assume you are all well aware of my love for butter LONDON's fabulous collection of polishes. What you may not know is that they recently kicked off a lip gloss line that is just as lovely as their lacquers. Lucky for my I have three of the five beautiful shades from their collection as well as the matching varnishes. One major trend in the fashion world for S/S 2012 is a "matchy-matchy"look between manicures, pedicures, and lips. Modernized with fresh new colors, this trend captures the elegance and classic look of the past but with a punch. butter LONDON has taken this trend to the next level by introducing LIPPY in five fab shades: Primrose Hill Picnic, Teddy Girl, Trout Pout, Snog, and Yummy Mummy. The lipglosses have matching shades already within the brand's line of varnishes and sell for $17 a tube.
The gloss is pretty heavy, so you definitely know you are wearing it unlike some more sheer lip glosses. This is a good thing though because I found it to stay on better than most. The rich and densely pigmented hues give lips a luxe look and actually don't taste too bad. Can I get a hip hip hooray?
Preferring the bold to the more subtle looks, I have tested out three of the shades: Trout Pout, Primrose Hill Picnic, and Snog. This time around you won't get any pics of my nails, just my lips--which is alright by me because in my most humble opinion they are one of my better features. Being that I prefer to avoid the camera at all costs and let's be honest I can barely make due as a hand model let alone a "model model," my lovely little sis stepped in--in front of the camera that is. The fact that she got three manicures out of the deal was a bit of a bonus for her, but she has never had a problem making faces at the camera so we had quite a bit of fun. So, my friends, I present you with LIPPY...eat your hearts out.
Trout Pout: Slang for a woman who has (to be kind) "over done" the collagen in her lips thus leaving her with a fishy face (whenever i read the name i can't help but think of Sam aka trouty mouth from glee and Santana's lovely song by the same name), this lip color is ideal if you want to sport a sassy pout. The opaque cantaloupe color is a bit retro and turns out almost a frosty pink on the lips.
Primrose Hill Picnic: As hinted at by the name of this fabulous shade, this punchy pink is perfect for frolicking, florals, summertime and picnics in the park. The bright, happy hue has a very youthful appearance. Primrose Hill Picnic happens to be my go to color for a pedi so paint your toes, strap on your best sandals, throw on a floral frock and get lippy with this gorgeous gloss.

Want to get that "matchy-matchy" look? Look no further!
Seriously, I would kill for that girl's eyelashes...
Anyway, it seems to me that butter LONDON has made an exciting entrance into the lipgloss world with their new LIPPY line. I would definitely recommend LIPPY and their lacquers in all their brilliant colors.
Cheers!
