Ed Sheeran 2.0

Anyone who knows me knows I have a slight obsession with Ed Sheeran. I did Ed Sheeran styled nails once before, back in April after I saw him open for Snow Patrol (feel free to revisit ithere). These nails are very similar in design to my previous ones, but with a slightly different, more modern style.
I started with one coat of butter LONDON's Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat. Next I applied two coats of butter's Minger to every nail but the accent nail. For the accent nail, I painted two coats of Cream Tea. Using the same shade I hand painted the paw print (his logo) on my thumb. The design on my accent nail was inspired by my favorite one of Ed's songs, "Give Me Love." I designed a bro tank for the concert identical to my design on the accent nail, but with the heart in red. The goal of the design was for the "v" in love and the "m" in me to align to form the heart. This translated well on the tank as the canvas was much greater, but not so well on my nail. I used Union Jack Black and Minger to paint the phrase on the nail. Anyway, once sealed with a coat of SV topcoat, I was really excited about the look--very simple and clean.

So, on to more important things... the concert was AMAZING! Minus the swarms of 16-year-olds that were only there because of their One Direction/Taylor Swift obsessions who had never been to a concert before and kept passing out, it was awesome. Both the opening acts were brilliant--Selah Sue and Passenger, and it was nice getting a larger set list from Ed since he was the headliner. The high point for me was probably hearing him sing "The Parting Glass. " They shut off all the lights in the theater, he backed away from his microphone, and moved his guitar to the side and sang the song acapella with an absolutely silent audience. It was surreal and a real testament to his vocal ability. Naturally when he announced his winter tour in the US I decided to go for round three and got tickets for January.

So have you fallen in love with Ed yet?
