I never thought I would like to live in NYC, until I lived in London. Once you have lived a cosmopolitan lifestyle, it's impossible really to go back. So as you can imagine, all of a sudden being transplanted to the snowy midwest of the US has been a bit rough on my lifestyle, not to mention my wardrobe. Seeing as I was looking up plane tickets back to London the day I touched down in America, Im having a hard time letting things go...though the cost of living in London has put things ever so slightly in America's favor. So I got to thinking, where is the most fabulous, cosmopolitan place in the US? NYC of course. The fact that Sex and the City seems to be on a constant loop on the telly only encourages this recent desire to make it big in the big apple. So, what better way harness my empire state of mind than to paint NYC all over my nails!?
For this design I started with Butter London foundation, then applied three coats of Butter London's Cream Tea. After that dried, I painted the skyline and letters using Urban Outfitter's Eyes Wide Closed. Next, using Butter London's Come to Bed Red, I painted the heart on my thumb. The last step was painting the windows with Cream Tea, and then finishing off with Butter London top coat. Do you think my nails look ready for the big city?
